Santa Lloyd winning over a beautiful fur child in Connecticut!
In short:
I began performing as a stunt/actor in Renaissance Faires and later at Medieval Times. While at MT, we did a few performances for children with terminal illnesses at a Make-a-Wish Camp and then back at the Castle for them and their families. The love and hope that I received from those little ones and their families touched my heart in ways I could never put into words. It changed the way that I looked at the world and how we should treat each other.
When I later had my own jousting performance company, I ensured that the show would be exciting, but geared for children, as I took out the fake blood, bad guys, and fake deaths that was, and unfortunately still is, the norm for faire joust shows. Our shows were all about the kids.
While performing at the Bristol Renaissance Faire, I met my soulmate and an inspiring couple who not only performed at the faire in the Summer, but played Santa and Jessica Claus at Christmas. My love convinced me to come and be "one of the elves" and I created the Knight Before Christmas (Santa's Secret Service and Bodyguard). A love for one-on-one interaction with children was rekindled.
Later, I became the Santa Claus for the local YMCA and for an organization that provides needed services for children and adults with developmental disabilities - which also spurred my want to become a teacher.
"Santa doesn't enter through the chimney, he enters though the heart" - C.H. Howard
I'm very lucky to be doing what I love as an addition to my profession. I use my "day job" as a substitute special education teacher to interact with the children and get to know what the latest and greatest toys and cartoons are. This directly translates to a Santa that is up on all the latest fads and video games!
I am a member of the International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas and a founding member of the Worldwide Santa Claus Network - an organization that is dedicated to:
"By embodying the 'Christmas Spirit’ we increase the positive impact we have on the people we interact with directly and our community in general.
"By building the awareness of Santa & Mrs. Clauses’ ability to make local personal appearances and provide video messages, we will increase the impact that the Claus's & the Christmas Spirit have on communities across the country and around the world.
"Through personal & professional development, we can increase the positive impact we have in every situation… and that is our vision."
I love my season as "the Big Guy" and look forward to it eagerly each year. Hopefully, we can work together in the future to make your holiday experience a bit more magical!

"If you want genuine, caring, attentive, easy going, friendly and outgoing, you definitely want Santa Lloyd!! I had the pleasure of working with Santa Lloyd this season (2019) and it was the most pleasant experience ever!! Not only were the children and parents enthralled with him but passersby who would just stand around and listen to his exchange with the children. Each child was an individual whom he treated as the only child in the room, whether they were taking pictures or just visiting. To top it all off, the kindness in which he showed special needs children, especially a couple who couldn't afford the photos and were gifted a special memory, has endeared him to many."
